Memorandum book, 1773-1845, bulk: 1773-1816.

Rough accounts and memoranda kept by various members of the Gorton family over several generations include accounts of the Gorton's Rhode Island general mercantile business, Thomas Gorton's expense record for his travels to attend the Rhode Island General Assembly, and accounts of legal business transacted by Thomas Gorton Jr. Most of the accounting appears to have been done by Thomas Gorton and his son Benjamin Gorton.
